4. Message

It was 9 in the morning.

Tanisha had just returned home after her run. As she was about to go upstairs to her room, Jenny, who was coming down the stairs, noticed the injury on Tanisha's hand. She stopped and asked, "What happened? How did you get hurt?"

Tanisha glanced toward the kitchen, where Vritika was already up and making juice. Vritika looked at Tanisha but said nothing, as if she already knew what might have happened.

When Jenny didn't get a response, she asked again. This time, Tanisha replied, "Nothing happened, I'm fine. It's just a small fight."

Shocked, Jenny asked, "What? Who did you fight with so early in the morning?"

Tanisha casually responded, "Some boys were harassing a girl, so I 'explained' things to them." Then, without another word, she headed upstairs.

Jenny, still surprised, looked at Vritika and muttered, " Ohh...Aese kon samjake ata hai ..? " before sitting down at the dining table.

("Ohh...Who explains things like that?" )

A little later, all three of them were having breakfast. Since it was Sunday, none of them had work, so they were enjoying a relaxed morning. Suddenly, Jenny looked up and suggested, "Why don't we go out today? It's Sunday!"

Without even glancing at her, both Vritika and Tanisha, still eating, responded in unison, "No."

But Jenny wasn't one to give up easily. She immediately launched into her emotional blackmail routineโ€”her signature move whenever they refused something. She would spin a dramatic, sad story to guilt them into agreeing. Though her tactics never truly worked, her persistence always wore them down. After about ten minutes of Jenny's relentless pleading, Vritika and Tanisha exchanged glances before sighing, "Fine."

Vritika added, "You have ten minutes. If you're not ready by then, the plan is off." Then she asked, "where exactly are we going?"

Jenny, stuffing food into her mouth, mumbled excitedly, "Shopping and a movie!" Then, as soon as she finished eating, she dashed upstairs. Watching Jenny's antics, Vritika and Tanisha exchanged amused glances and shook their heads with a small smile.

By 10:30 AM, Tanisha and Vritika were already outside with their bikes, waiting for Jenny.

Jenny arrived moments later, panting heavily. She glanced at Vritika and then at her watch, sighing in relief. " Thank god! 5 second pehle pohch gayi warna ye dono sherniya muje kachha hi chaba jati. "

(Thank God! I made it with five seconds to spare. Otherwise, these two hungry lionesses would've eaten me alive.)

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice Tanisha watching her. "Are we leaving, or do you want to stand here daydreaming?" Tanisha asked.

Jenny flashed a quick smile. "No, no, let's go! The movie starts soon!" And with that, the three of them took off on their bikes. They first headed to the mall to watch a movie. After grabbing popcorn and drinks, they settled into their seats.

After 3 hours, As the movie ended, they split up to do some shopping. While Tanisha and Vritika finished quickly, Jenny, on the other hand, seemed determined to buy the entire mall. She wandered from store to store, lost in her shopping spree, while the other two waited impatiently.

As they stood waiting, Tanisha asked, "Did he call again?" Vritika, maintaining her usual expressionless face, simply nodded.

Flashback:

During the movie, Vritika had stepped out to take a phone call. When she returned, she noticed Tanisha was also on a call. Without saying a word, Vritika gave a slight nod in acknowledgment.

Flashback ends.

Tanisha pressed further, "What now? Everyone knows he's dead."

Vritika replied, "He's dead, but his associatesโ€”his partnersโ€”they're still out there."

Tanisha, a hint of frustration in her voice, asked, "So, are we going to kill all of them?"

Vritika's response was cold and unwavering. " Yes. He destroyed her family. He killed her father just because he filed a case against them. They left her orphaned because of that."

As they spoke, Jenny suddenly walked up to them with a puzzled expression. "Who are you talking about killing? And who made whom an orphan?"

Thinking quickly, Tanisha laughed and placed a hand on Jenny's shoulder. "Oh, silly! We were just talking about the movie we watched." She added playfully, "Why would we kill anyone? We don't want to go to jail!"

Jenny, though still suspicious, forced a smile. "Alright then, let's get something to eat. It's already almost 3 PM!"

Tanisha nodded. "Let's just eat at this hotel."

A little later, the three of them were seated at a restaurant, enjoying lunch. But Jenny seemed lost in thought, quietly muttering to herself, I overheard them... Was what they said true? They've had weird conversations like this before. Sometimes, they get phone calls in the middle of the night and leave. I'm starting to feel like there's something they're not telling me... Deep in contemplation, Jenny didn't realize Vritika was watching her.

"Where's your mind at?" Vritika asked.

Startled, Jenny quickly shook her head. "Oh, nowhere! I was just thinking whether we should go home now or go somewhere else."

Vritika responded, "Let's head home. I've got some studio work to finish." Tanisha and Jenny agreed, and all three of them went home, returning to their usual activities.

In the evening...

Vritika and Tanisha were busy working while Jenny had come downstairs to prepare dinner. However, her mind seemed elsewhere. As Vritika descended the stairs, she noticed the overflowing glass of water and realized that Jenny had left the tap running.

Vritika called out, "Jenny, turn off the tap!"

It was only then that Jenny snapped out of her thoughts. Vritika, in a calm voice, asked, "What's wrong with you today? Where is your mind? You were distracted even during lunch. If something is bothering you, just tell us."

Jenny quickly replied, "No, no, nothing's wrong. You guys just come and eat, dinner is ready." She hurried away.

Tanisha, who had just come downstairs, overheard this exchange. Watching Jenny head up the stairs, Tanisha turned to Vritika and said, "She's suspicious now."

Vritika replied, "Yes... she's beginning to suspect, but we can't tell her anything just yet." With that, they both walked away.

Later, during dinner, the usually talkative Jenny remained silent. No one said a word as they ate. After finishing, all three went their separate ways to continue their work.

Meanwhile, in America...

In the posh area of the city stood a grand buildingโ€”not just an apartment but the headquarters of the top company in the U.S. Everyone dreamt of working there, but getting a job was extremely difficult. This was the number two company in the business industry.

However, today, the atmosphere in the company was tense. Employees were working nervously, and the reason behind it was the arrival of their bosses. (Yes, bosses, because the company had three of them.)

They had just returned to the U.S. and had immediately gone to the office, where they had already fired six employees, causing a stir in the entire company.

On the 27th floor, in the meeting room, the mood was grim. Everyone sat tensely, facing three chairs. The third chair was empty, while the two were occupied by two men. One had a cold expression, while the other was visibly angry but remained silent.

They had already rejected three projects. These two men were none other than Rihan Oberoi and Kiyan Malhotraโ€”the bosses whose arrival had thrown the company into chaos.

As they sat in the meeting room, about to speak, the door opened. Everyone turned to see a man walking in. His arrival brought a sense of relief to the employees, who hoped he might save them from the wrath of their bosses. The man, understanding the hope in their eyes, walked straight toward Rihan and Kiyan.

Without any emotion, Kiyan asked, "Vivan, what are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be in a meeting? How come you're here?" He glared at Vivan.

Looking at both Kiyan and Rihan, Vivan replied, " Tum dono ate hi shuru ho gaye..!! " Then, turning to the employees, he said, "Meeting is over."

("You two started right away, didn't you?" )

That was all it took for the room to clear out as if no one had ever been there. Vivan turned back to Rihan and Kiyan, now grinning mischievously.

"I've missed you both so much! And more than you, I've missed your seriousness and anger." Kiyan and Rihan glared at him, but Vivan continued smiling.

"Did you do this on purpose?" Kiyan asked coldly.

Rihan added, "We already knew about this."

Vivan's face fell. "Oh... so you already knew, huh? And yet you still acted like this?"

Turning back to Rihan and Kiyan, Vivan warned, "And you two shouldn't be so happy about this either. By the way, the deal is done."

Rihan asked, "When are you leaving for Bangalore? And make sure that deal comes to us."

Vivan responded seriously, "That deal will come to us. I'm leaving in a little while, but I wanted to see you both before going." With that, Vivan left for Bangalore, and Rihan and Kiyan returned to their work.

Meanwhile, in Bangalore...

It was around 11:30 PM. Vritika, Tanisha, and Jenny were all working. Jenny's phone rangโ€”it was a call from her office, so she went downstairs to take it. As she headed down, Tanisha called out, "Jenny, make sure to lock up Main door when you come back up."

Jenny nodded absentmindedly. A little later, Vritika's phone rang. Seeing it was a private number, she answered. Tanisha was watching her when Vritika hung up without saying a word. Sensing the silence, Tanisha asked, "Was that the call confirming the deal is done, and they're sending everyone out of the country tonight?"

Vritika responded, "Yes, I know. Get ready; we're leaving soon."

Meanwhile, Tanisha received a voice message: "Wo log aaj deal finalize karne wale hain, main jaanta hoon aap dono aisa hone nahi denge, par wo log kuch bhi kar sakte hain. Aapko chaukanna rehna hoga aur har kadam dhyan se rakhna hoga, tab hi aap un logon tak pohch payenge. Dhyan rahe ki aapko kuch na ho. Main jaanta hoon ki aap dono ko koi chu bhi nahi paayega, fir bhi aap dhyan rakhiye."

(They are going to finalize the deal today. I know you both wonโ€™t let that happen, but they are capable of anything. You need to stay alert and take every step carefully; only then will you be able to reach them. Make sure nothing happens to you. I know that no one can touch either of you, but still, stay cautious.)

After hearing the message, Tanisha smirked and said, "Bahut din ho gaye kisi ko peeta nahi, chalo aaj wo kasar bhi poori hogi."

(Itโ€™s been a long time since anyone got beaten up โ€” looks like today that gap will be filled too.)

She looked over at Vritika, who was staring back at her. In a cold voice, Vritika said, "The one who started this game doesn't even realize what's coming." She smiled mysteriously, and Tanisha gave a venomous grin in return. They both got back to work.

Unbeknownst to them, Jenny, who had been coming back upstairs, had overheard their conversation. Shocked and disturbed, she composed herself before walking into the room and pretending nothing had happened.

Half an hour later, Vritika and Tanisha stood before Jenny, ready to leave. Vritika told Jenny, "We're heading out for some work. Don't wait up for us, just go to sleep."

Jenny asked, "But where are you two going together, and why so late?"

"I told you, it's just some work. We'll be late, so go to bed," Vritika replied. With that, they left. Jenny watched them go, thinking for a moment before deciding to follow them.
