2. One Message

It was morning.

As usual, all three girls woke up at 5 AM. Jenny was meditating, Vritika had gone to the gym, and Tanisha went for her morning run. After two hours, they got ready and sat down for breakfast. While they were eating, both Tanisha and Vritika received messages on their phones. After reading them, they exchanged glances, which Jenny immediately noticed.

She asked, โ€œWhatโ€™s up? Why are you both looking at each other like that?โ€

Tanisha abruptly stood up from the table and said, โ€œIโ€™m going to the office.โ€

Jenny, still curious, pressed further, โ€œBut tell me what happened?โ€

Without saying anything more, Tanisha grabbed her bike keys and left. Seeing this, Jenny felt a little hurt. To cheer her up, Vritika stood up and said, โ€œItโ€™s nothing. Donโ€™t worry. Arenโ€™t you going to the office? I can drop you if you want.โ€

Jenny smiled and replied, โ€œWhy would you drop me when I have my own bike? Donโ€™t worry about me; Iโ€™ll go by myself.โ€ Hearing this, Vritika also left for the office on her bike. After a while, Jenny followed.

Meanwhile, Tanisha was speeding down the road on her bike. a car was approaching just as fast. They almost crashed, but both hit their brakes just in time, narrowly avoiding disaster. Tanisha, an experienced rider, executed a perfect stop, her bike lifting at the rear like a scene straight out of an action movie.

The carโ€™s windows were tinted, making it impossible to see inside. However, the person inside had seen Tanisha. Due to her mask and goggles, he couldnโ€™t see her faceโ€”only the locket she wore around her neck.

Already in a bad mood, the near-accident made Tanisha even angrier. She got off her bike, marched up to the car, and punched the windshield with such force that it nearly shattered.

โ€œIf you donโ€™t know how to drive, why do you even try?โ€ she snapped before zooming off on her bike.

After she left, the man in the car stepped out. He walked to the spot where Tanisha had stood and found her locket lying on the ground. Picking it up, he examined it closely. His gaze then shifted to the cracked windshield, and a bold smile crept across his face.

Just then, several black cars arrived. A few men stepped out and bowed their heads in respect. The man got back into his car and drove away.

Some time laterโ€ฆ

Deep within a dense jungle stood a massive, eerie mansion. Its black-and-gold architecture exuded both grandeur and menace. A convoy of black cars pulled up outside, and armed guards stepped out. One of them quickly opened the door for the same man from earlier, who walked inside without a word.

The mansionโ€™s interior was just as dark, with only a few dim lights casting long shadows.

In the middle of the grand hall, a man was tied to a chair. He had been tortured brutallyโ€”his body covered in deep wounds, his clothes stained with blood. He trembled as he sat there, his lips cracked and dry, his breath ragged. Several guards stood around him, treating him like a criminal. The man whimpered, begging for mercy.

Suddenly, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the hall. The tension in the air thickened. A group of guards flanked the same mysterious man as he entered. Without hesitation, he walked over to a grand, king-sized sofa and sat down.

His mere presence sent a chilling wave through everyone. Nobody dared to meet his eyes.

Without uttering a word, the man gestured to his P.A.โ€” Krish to speak. his voice trembling, reported, โ€œBoss, even after all the torture, he hasnโ€™t told us anything.โ€ He hesitated before adding, โ€œBoss, I think weโ€™re wasting our time. Maybe he really doesnโ€™t know anything.โ€

Even though the boss wore sunglasses and a mask, the sheer intensity of his gaze made Krish break into a cold sweat.

The tied-up man suddenly screamed, โ€œWho are you ? Whyโ€ฆ why have you brought me here? Let me go! I donโ€™t know anything about what youโ€™re asking! Please, I swear, I donโ€™t knowโ€”โ€ The unmistakable sound of a gun being loaded echoed in the hall.

Before the man could finish his plea, a deafening gunshot rang out. The man shrieked in agony as a bullet tore through his leg. It was none other than Rihan Oberoi who had pulled the trigger.

Rihan raised his gun again, ready to fire, when the injured man screamed, โ€œWait! Wait! Donโ€™t shoot! Iโ€™ll tell you everything! Please donโ€™t shoot!โ€

Panting heavily, the man stammered, โ€œIt was Zorawarโ€ฆ He made me do it. He said if I didnโ€™t, he would kill my daughter, so Iโ€”โ€ Before he could say another word, another gunshot echoed through the mansion.

A single bullet to the head silenced him forever. The room fell into complete silence. Rihan put away his gun, stood up, and walked out. The convoy of cars followed as he left.

It was night...

At around 10 PM, Vritika, Tanisha, and Jenny were all busy with their work. Vritikaโ€™s phone started ringing again. It had already rung about 10โ€“15 times, but she had ignored all the calls. Now, as the calls kept coming one after another, she finally got frustrated and picked up.

As she listened to the person on the other side, her anger grew. After a few minutes, she hung up. Jenny asked, โ€œWho was calling so late at night?โ€

Vritika responded while leaving the room, โ€œIt was the studio. Thereโ€™s an emergency. I need to go. I might be late. You both go to sleep.โ€ With that, she left.

After she was gone, Jenny looked at Tanisha, who was still working, and muttered, โ€œWhat kind of emergency happens this late? Canโ€™t they wait until morning? Idiots...!โ€

She shook her head but quickly dismissed the thought, as Vritika had gone out late at night many times before. It wasnโ€™t anything new.

n Delhi...

A quiet, large mansion stood on a hill, shrouded in darkness. Inside the grand hall, a person sat with one leg crossed over the other, facing three individuals seated on a couch with their heads lowered. Two were men, and one was a woman.

In a deep, intimidating voice, the person spoke, โ€œHow could you make such a mistake? You all know there are no excuses or pardons hereโ€”only punishment.โ€

Hearing this, the girl on the couch, Mahi, nervously responded, โ€œWe know, boss. There are no pardons, only punishments. Weโ€™re ready for it.โ€ She fell silent after that.

Just then, another manโ€”Yuvi entered and stood before the boss, announcing, โ€œBoss, weโ€™ve found Khanna.โ€

The three on the couch looked up in shock. Mahi asked in disbelief, โ€œHow is that possible? He escaped this morning. Whatโ€™s going on? I donโ€™t understand.โ€

Yuvi standing beside the boss smirked. โ€œNo, Khanna never escaped. We let him goโ€”on the bossโ€™s ordersโ€”so he would lead us to his superior.โ€

Rahul, the man sitting next to Mahi, took a deep breath and placed a hand on his chest. โ€œOh... so this was all planned by the boss. I thought that bastard Khanna actually managed to escape and that we were about to get punished.โ€ Then, laughing, he added, โ€œLooks like that wonโ€™t happen now.โ€

Everyone stared at him as if he had lost his mind. Noticing their expressions, Rahul shrugged. โ€œCome on, stop looking at me like that Yarrโ€

Turning to the boss, he started, โ€œBossโ€”โ€ but immediately stopped when received a sharp, angry glare. quickly corrected himself. โ€œNow that youโ€™re here, why donโ€™t you stay for a few days?โ€

Mahi chimed in eagerly, โ€œYes, please stay for a while. Itโ€™s been so long since youโ€™ve been here.โ€

Both of them made puppy faces, trying to appear as innocent as possible. The person sighed and replied, โ€œNot now. Maybe later. I have a lot of work and need to go back.โ€

Mahi moved closer, her eyes welling up with tears. Holding the personโ€™s hand, she pleaded, โ€œThen take us with you! We want to go with you.โ€

The boss looked at her, expression darkening slightly at the sight of her tears. Placing a hand on her head, and said, โ€œNot now. When the time is right. But if even one more tear falls from your eyes, forget about it.โ€

Immediately, Mahi wiped her tears and forced a smile. โ€œNo, no! Iโ€™m not crying at all. See?โ€ She tried to look cheerful, much like a little child.

Just then, a 50-year-old woman entered the hall. Her face radiated kindness as she called out, โ€œall of you, dinner is ready. Come on.โ€

When she saw the boss, her eyes lit up with joy. Hugging the person tightly, she exclaimed, โ€œOh, beta! When did you come? Why didnโ€™t you tell me? How are you? And how are Tanisha and Jenny?โ€ She bombarded with questions, her voice filled with warmth.

The boss gently patted head and said, โ€œplease.. don't panic , Iโ€™m fine. Theyโ€™re fine too. But calm down.โ€

Everyone sat in the hall, talking for a while. After some time, Sumitra, the woman, stood up and said, โ€œIโ€™m going to the kitchen. You all come for dinner soon.โ€

The boss frowned. โ€œ itโ€™s midnight, Why dinner now?โ€

Sumitra ji waved a hand dismissively. โ€œWhy not? Itโ€™s been so long since youโ€™ve been here. Iโ€™ll cook your favorite meal today. And you know these three donโ€™t eat dinner in the evening. They only eat at midnight or around 1 AM. So, no more excuses. Youโ€™re eating with us tonight!โ€

She headed toward the kitchen. The boss turned the attention back to the threeโ€”Rahul and Mahi were already bickering again, while Yuvi sat quietly, focused on his laptop.

The boss called Yuvi over. As soon as he heard his name, Yuvi looked up. He was a strikingly handsome man, always composed and calm. Hearing the bossโ€™s voice, even Rahul and Mahi stopped their argument to listen.

The boss asked Yuvraj, โ€œHow are your studies and training going?โ€

Yuvraj answered briefly, โ€œBoth are going well.โ€

Mahi, still sulking, pointed at Rahul and complained, โ€œEverythingโ€™s fine, except this creepy man is always fighting with me.โ€

Rahul scoffed, โ€œOh please! This little woman fights with me too!โ€ And just like that, they started arguing again. Yuvi, unfazed, continued working on his laptop.

The boss sighed and shook the head. โ€œEnough. Stop complaining about each other. We all know exactly how you two are.โ€ Hearing this, both Rahul and Mahi pouted and turned away from each other.

A little while later, everyone gathered at the dining table for dinner. As they ate, Sumitra asked the boss, โ€œWhen will you come back?โ€

Without hesitation the person replied, โ€œ we wonโ€™t be coming back here. Youโ€™ll come to us when the time is right.โ€

A heavy silence settled over the table. Sumitra understood there was no point in arguing. After some time, the boss stood up and left.

To be continued...

why did Rihan kill that man?

Who was the boss?

Why did Sumitra ji ask about Tanisha and Jenny but not Vritika?
